Five years ago, Seth, then 19, was abducted by two men he approached for a ride. He spent a week imprisoned and tortured before being dumped on the street naked. He’s never been the same since, drifting into a life of crime. Today, his worst nightmare has come true: Convicted of petty theft, he has been sent to a “punishment facility” to be severely tortured nonstop for 48 hours. Still lean and boyish, wearing a small, summer shirt and ripped jeans, Seth is manhandled by a guard and brought before the judge to have the tortures he is about to suffer described in detail. He says he can take it, but the fear on his face says a lot more. The whipping begins immediately. Next week: Whipped bright red.
